The Windows Subsystem for Linux, or WSL, is a feature in Windows 10 and later versions that allows users to run Linux applications directly on Windows without the need for a virtual machine or dual-boot setup. In June 2021, Microsoft Corporation released a preview of WSLg, which offers improved support for graphical Linux applications.
